Job Summary:
The Associate Executive Director, reporting to the Executive Director, will be directly engaged in planning, implementing, and supervising the day-to-day management and operations of the organization.
General Responsibilities:
- Providing supervision, guidance, and coordination to the organization’s Fiscal, Property Management and Housing Services, Human Resources, and Social Services departments to enable them to fulfill their unique roles.
- Provide direct supervision to the senior executives of the aforementioned departments to ensure fulfillment of contractual, reporting, and regulatory obligations, as well as performance targets. Conducts annual performance evaluations of supervisees.
- Providing fiscal oversight of residential properties, developing annual budgets, and tracking performance. Working with the Executive Director to develop and track annual agency budget;
- Heads HR Services Unit. Develops and updates Agency’s policies and procedures for on-boarding of staff, leave requests, disciplinary action, etc., and provides guidance of same to agency staff. Manages contracts for HR services, as well as serving as main point of contact with Employment Attorney.
- Working closely with the Executive Director to ensure coordination between the departments that the Deputy Director oversees and those that the Executive Director oversees directly: Fiscal, Community Services and Development and External Relations;
- Maintains excellent working relationship with Board of Directors and serves as lead staff person on two board committees: Program & Services and Housing Services.
- Working closely with the Executive Director to oversee necessary capital improvements on Project FIND’s residential buildings, and affordable housing expansion efforts;
- Collaborating with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and other senior staff members, as necessary, in essential leadership activities such as strategic and organizational planning, budgeting, and human resources;
- Point person for agency on IT acquisitions, services and contracts. Presently oversees contract with WCA, implementation of AWARDS, YARDI, JOT Form, and HR Bamboo.
- Represents Project FIND at conferences, professional associations, and other public venues; and
- Collaborates and provides oversight on additional activities as requested by the Executive Director.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors’ degree required; Masters’ degree preferred.
- 7-10 years of senior management experience.
- Proven track record as a results-driven supervisor.
- Non-profit experience is highly preferred and a strong plus
- Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, including directly with the Board
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to travel between sites as needed
