SUMMARY:
The Area Director for the HSS Housing Services Division will be responsible for the overall management of the housing programs in the Housing Services Division of the agency. This includes administrative and programmatic supervision of the program managers. Responsibilities also include staff training and development, staff meetings, crisis intervention and resolution, and coordination of service programs with other areas of the agency
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor overall performance of programs service delivery and budget management.
- Monitor overall quality improvement functions of service programs ensuring that all contract deliverables and performance standards are met.
- Responsible for compliance with all applicable regulations and contractual obligations; keeping abreast of changes in regulations and implementing such changes.
- Implement Project Hospitality's policies, procedures, and philosophies as they relate to Housing Services delivery and staff employment.
- Responsible for budget planning, spending, and monitoring in compliance with contract and agency standards.
- Provide 24 on-call support for all Program Directors/Coordinators within Housing Services.
- Intervene in crises within Housing Services and refer to executive management when needed.
- Liaison with the community for reasons of public relations and networking in a professional manner which represents the agency.
- Serve as a member of the senior staff management team of the agency.
- Coordinate program development and enhancements of programs in the service area.
- Oversite of all audit functions including ensuring the program is prepared for an audit. Represent the program in audit meetings and ensure all plans and responses are timely.
- Responsible to ensure that all reports and documentation is reviewed for accuracy and submitted timely.
Qualifications
The position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least 3 years of previous clinical, supervisory/administrative experience. Experience working with the substance-abusing, homeless, mentally ill, and HIV populations is required. Knowledge of Housing programs and benefits. Need to establish workload priorities and balance diverse projects. Must have exceptional communication skills both orally and in writing, regarding complex and sensitive issues. Physical ability to perform essential job functions is needed. In addition, the Area Director shall perform any duties as required to meet the needs of the program and the clients served. Salary : $78,000 - $83,000
