CL&D has a great opportunity for a Senior Accountant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, examine, and analyze financial records and transactions in accordance with accounting principles and business procedures.
- Integral role in the month-end close process. Including but not limited to analysis, journal entry preparation and account reconciliations.
- Collect and compile necessary financial and economic data to perform meaningful analysis for strategic business decisions.
- Spearhead the company’s job costing initiative to drive margin improvement. Works with operations, R&D and other departments to drive cost reduction.
- Assists in the development of forecasts and budgets.
- Accurate and timely completion of and response to corporate tax, finance and accounting as well as external auditors' requests and inquiries.
- Prepares and generates various scheduled and special reports and participates in special projects relating to the activities of the accounting department.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s (or advanced) Degree in Accounting
- Minimum three to five years of professional accounting experience, with preference given to experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in Microsoft Office with advanced experience in Excel
- Possess strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Possess strong analytical skills and comprehension and the ability to communicate the results of the analysis performed
- Able to work both collaboratively with a team and in an individual environment
- Able to manage and complete multiple tasks
- Must have the ability to work under pressure, while maintaining organization and attention to detail
- Must have the ability to meet strict deadlines and work and perform tasks with minimum supervision
