Plan, develop, organize, and implement a comprehensive activity program tailored to the interests, needs, and abilities of nursing home residents.
Coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly activity calendars, including group events, one-on-one activities, community outings, holiday celebrations, and intergenerational programs.
Assess residents upon admission and regularly thereafter to develop individualized activity plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.
Supervise and train activity staff and volunteers; ensure adequate coverage for scheduled events and programs.
Maintain required documentation including participation records, assessments, and care plan contributions in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Promote resident involvement and encourage participation in activities through verbal invitations, calendar postings, and room visits.
Ensure all activity areas are clean, organized, and safe.
