What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook position at Promenade Senior Living?
Promenade at Blue Hill, a Senior Assisted Liiving Residence in Pearl River, NY is looking for a Line Cook to join our team. Immediate opening. 5 days a week including a weekend day, with some flexibility to cover shifts as needed. Experience with Grill work, food prep, and making soups, salads, and sandwiches. Good cleaning and kitchen closing skills required. Starting salary relative to previous experience with a 90 day probation period. Summary: The Cook prepares and cooks meals for residents and maintains standards of kitchen cleanliness under the direction of the Food Service Director.
Qualifications: •Six (6) months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred but will train the right motivated candidate.
Language skills:
•Ability to effectively communicate in English and understand and follow written and oral instructions
•Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to residents, residents’ families and other employees of the company
Ability to be calm under pressure and be customer service oriented. Enjoy working closely with our seniors to ensure satisfaction.
