JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the supervision of the Shift Supervision, the Residential Aide is the primary connection between the operations staff and the residents. The Residential Aide will spend a large amount of time with the residents. Focusing on helping clients who need more hands on assistance.
KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Perform daily room and bed inspections.
· Pack up and log items for AWOL residents.
· Prepare beds and rooms for new arrivals.
· Escort residents to appointments.
· Assist in the monitoring and development of resident’s independent living skills
· Create progress notes detailing interactions with residents
· Conduct intakes with new residents
· Safeguard all confidential information for residents including demographic information, services, needs, actions and personal information.
· Perform nightly bed counts efficient and accurately.
· Serve as back up coverage for kitchen staff.
· Conflict resolution between residents.
· Create incident reports clearly detailing all events.
· Provide backup coverage for operations desk as needed.
· Log all events and visitors in the daily logbook
· Help maintain the cleanliness of the building
· Serve meals to residents in accordance with food management protocols
· Monitor common areas to ensure proper usage
· Perform other duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor
· Prepare and submit all required paperwork in a timely and accurate manner attend mandatory staff meetings
· Other duties in keeping with the scope and nature of the position

REQUIREMENTS:
· High School Diploma required.
· Associates Degree preferred
· Knowledge of DHS requirements and protocols preferred
· Food Handler’s certificate
· Fire safety coordinator certification
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and written skills
· Ability to maintain accurate records and safeguard resident’s confidential information
· Basic computer literacy
