Reporting to: Departmental Lead, Supervisor or Manager
Job Type: Full-Time, 40 hours per week plus on-call responsibilities. Schedule flexible either 5 - 8hour shifts Mon-Fri 8:30am - 5:00pm, or 4 - 10hour shifts 10:00am - 7:30pm.
Job Location: Report to Plainview, NY and covering Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island areas
Requirements
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Respiratory School and must have CRTT or RRT licensure in the states inquiring of employment and in good standing.
- Current CPR certification.
- Must be willing to get cross-licensed in other states at the company’s expense.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance in good standing.
- At least 2 years’ experience as a working Respiratory Therapist is preferred. Experience in the home setting is highly desirable.
- Must have adequate PC skills to use e-mail and update notes and other documentation electronically in a timely manner.
Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to:
- Provides patients and family members with timely and accurate information and takes appropriate corrective actions regarding our services to ensure complete satisfaction.
- Ability to initiate and develop good working relationships with patients, family members and referral sources is essential.
- Ensures that the team plans daily events so as to be as efficient as possible with time management (e.g., minimizes travel time by planning routes ahead of time).
- Assists with the proper scheduling of set ups and follow up visits according to company policies and standards.
- Works closely with the RT Clinical Liaisons in coordinating patient discharges.
- Ability to properly triage problems in the field in accordance with company standards and other verbal and written training policies.
- Ensures that the team follows proper procedures for accurate and timely documentation of patient concerns, and most importantly, takes appropriate corrective actions.
- Maintains strong knowledge of PromptCare’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensures that they are applied consistently.
- Ensures that the team maintains compliance to all applicable laws, regulations and SOPs at all times Fosters a culture wherein the team conducts activities with a mindset of delivering “white glove” service to the patients and family members.
- Submits expense reports for travel at least once monthly and in a timely manner.
- On-call responsibilities as needed.
Physical Demands
This position is highly active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting, and climbing all day. Lift and/or move 30 pounds or more.
