Fund Accountant

We have an exciting opportunity for a Fund Accountant with a prominent and well-regarded private equity/real estate firm headquartered in San Francisco. This firm is growing rapidly and expanding their Fund Accounting & Investor Reporting team. Hybrid Schedule (3 days/week) in Downtown SF, very close to public transportation.

About the Role:

The Fund Accountant supports the Fund Accounting team with the monthly, quarterly and annual close process, as well as supporting the year end tax/audit cycle. This is a newly created role with opportunity for career growth - they enjoy promoting from within and have a veritable history of this.

• Facilitate monthly/annual close
• Assist with month end journal entries
• Portfolio analysis & performance monitoring
• Assist with internal & investor reporting
• Ensure accurate fund records through reconciliation’s and reporting
• Calculate daily market value of portfolio holding
• Complete month-end reporting requirements
• Maintain capital accounts
• Ad hoc reporting

What You’ll Bring:

• BS/BA degree in Accounting (preferred) or similar discipline
• 2 years experience in Real Estate, Asset Management, Venture Capital, or Private Equity (Very open to profiles coming straight out of public accounting as well as in Tax)
• Must have experience in Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Working knowledge of Partnership/Fund Accounting concepts
• An ambition to progress in your career
