Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented LVP Floor Layer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in flooring installation, tile laying, and related construction activities. This role involves working on various projects including restoration, remodeling, and new installations, primarily focusing on luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of blueprint reading, hand tools, power tools, and construction site safety protocols. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that require precision and craftsmanship in flooring and related finishing work. This is work for a Property Management Company in Anderson, SC.
Responsibilities
- Install luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring with attention to detail and quality standards
- Prepare subfloor surfaces ensuring proper leveling and adhesion for flooring installation
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for cutting, fitting, and securing flooring materials
- Read schematics, blueprints, and floor plans to accurately execute installation projects
- Perform tile laying, caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and cabinet installation as needed
- Assist with water damage restoration projects including floor care and surface repairs
- Conduct surface preparation including concrete finishing and floor leveling
- Apply finishing techniques such as buffing to ensure a smooth, professional appearance
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety guidelines on-site
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely project completion
Experience
- Proven experience in flooring installation, especially LVP flooring
- Construction site experience with knowledge of remodeling, restoration industry practices, and general carpentry
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings
- Hands-on experience with hand tools such as caulking guns, saws, drills, and other power tools
- Knowledge of water damage restoration processes and floor care techniques
- Previous handyman or remodeling experience is advantageous
- Experience in construction estimating is a plus but not required
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
