Job Requirements: The primary function of the Fire Sprinkler Foreman is to supervise and complete the installation of fire protection piping, valves, and accessories for commercial and industrial application. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Manage labor and materials to ensure tasks completed as assigned at jobsite, such as the installation, repair, and/or maintenance on all types of fixed piping fire suppression systems.
- Install or service equipment on wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems.
- Manage and review job material needs and schedule with Project Manager.
- Complete weekly job overview with Project Manager.
- Monitor workmanship and serve as coach to others assigned to jobsite.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Maintain proper documentation for work performed.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as walking on uneven surfaces and climbing stairs (multi-story buildings), ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Safely operate of all equipment/tools and vehicles.
- Complete Weekly Jobsite Safety Inspection Form.
- Complete weekly Toolbox Talks.
- Must be detail oriented and organized.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to meet deadlines and scheduling requirements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience with fire sprinkler installation/service.
- A minimum of 3 years' supervisory experience with fire sprinkler installation/service.
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
- Must be able to carry/move heavy equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs and perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment.
- Must be able to work in all types of weather.
- Must be able to frequently stand, walk, climb, lift, bend, kneel, stretch, and work in high places, on rigging, and in ditches.
- Must be able to work alternative shifts or weekends to meet customer and/or job requirements.
- Strong work ethic.
