The Ultrasound Technologist performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams to support accurate clinical diagnosis. This role requires strong patient care skills, technical expertise, and adherence to imaging safety and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general, obstetrical, vascular, thyroid, and breast ultrasound exams
- Ensure proper patient positioning to produce quality imaging
- Review images for quality before submission to radiologists
- Follow ACR, ARDMS, safety, and ALARA guidelines
- Maintain required CE's and assist with accreditation activities
- Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic or Ultrasound program
- ARDMS certification in Abdomen or OB/GYN required
- Breast Ultrasound Certification required (must be willing to obtain)
- 12 months minimum experience preferred; new grads considered as a last resort
- ACLS/BLS preferred
- Ability to lift upto 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods
