SUMMARY:
Employee will participate in the design and production of civil engineering plans, calculations, and construction documents for a variety of infrastructure projects. Employee will also contribute to project coordination, quality control, and mentoring of junior staff. Assignments will primarily involve general civil, wastewater, drainage, transportation, and site development projects. Work will include both field and office-based tasks, with the majority of responsibilities performed in an office setting.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills And Abilities)
- 8 years of experience in civil design with a focus on general civil, wastewater, drainage, or transportation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
- Strong knowledge of grading, utility layout, and stormwater/drainage design.
- Experience preparing construction plan sets and technical calculations.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks across various projects.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with local and state design standards and permitting requirements.
- Self-Motivated – Shows initiative and the ability to achieve something with one’s own enthusiasm or interest without needing pressure from others.
- Technical Skills- Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills, shares expertise with others.
- Analytical - Able to deconstruct information into smaller categories in order to draw conclusions.
- Detailed - Able to pay close attention to the small particulars when working on a particular task in order to produce a high-quality product.
- Quality Management - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality; applies feedback to improve performance; monitors own work to ensure quality. Prioritizes and plans work activities efficiently.
- Prepare detailed design drawings and construction documents for civil infrastructure projects.
- Lead or support design efforts for drainage systems, wastewater infrastructure, roadways, and site development.
- Develop grading plans, utility layouts, and erosion control plans.
- Coordinate with internal team members and external stakeholders to meet project goals and deadlines.
- Review work of junior staff and provide design guidance and quality control.
- Assist in preparing permit submittals and respond to agency comments.
- Ensure plans and designs meet applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
