Victorian Village-Retirement and Assisted Living community in Homer Glen, is seeking a Full-Time Community Relations Director- Independent & Assisted Living Sales. The primary purpose of your job position is to build and grow census by developing, selling, marketing and providing prospective residents and/or responsible parties with appropriate information and assistance in choosing an Independent/Assisted Living Campus.
- Responsible for accurately capturing and analyzing all inquiries to the facility via the prescribed tracking vehicle according to corporate standards.
- Submits press release ideas to Director of Communications regarding all newsworthy items and events of public interest.
- Submits weekly written reports to Executive Director and RMD on the status of move in’s and marketing activities for the week.
- Practices prudent fiscal management and closely monitors budget for marketing purposes.
- Develops and coordinates community-based education seminars and lectures. Invites local community and church groups to utilize space for meetings.
- Advises the Executive Director, Department Directors/Supervisors, etc., regarding the specific public relations matters of the facility.
- Regularly and customarily spends time in selling. Maintains a thorough knowledge of the centers, products and services, acuity, capabilities and referral relationships.
- Maintain an active involvement in the community, organization and associations. Example: Chamber of Commerce, local area agency on aging, senior groups, churches.
- Must be willing to work one weekend a month and as needed for special events.

Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree in sales or marketing is preferred or equivalent experience. Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in sales, marketing or public relations, preferably in a health care setting. Demonstrate understanding and compassion to prospective clients and their families. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office; Windows, Excel and Outlook. Must have a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm for senior healthcare. Ability to learn new applications related to customer relations management.
