Description
Under the general direction of the Supervisor, the Health Unit Coordinator functions to manage the open record electronic medical record. Provides a mechanism for efficient and smooth flow of patient care, departmental and interdepartmental communication through the functions of scheduling, relating messaging, and communicating with staff, patients and providers. All employees are expected to be pleasant, respectful and courteous in all interactions with patients, families, staff, and visitors of the Institute, as well as being a positive representative of the hospital at all times.

Required qualifications:
- Completion of a community college unit secretary curriculum or equivalent experience
Preferred qualifications:
- 2 years General office and/or Unit Secretary, Health Unit Coordinator, or Receptionist experience
