Description

PSECU, a high-tech progressive financial institution with more than $8 billion in assets, is seeking a Mortgage Processor/Closer. The Mortgage Processor/Closer will work with Mortgage Originator and Underwriters and Processing and Closing Managers to ensure mortgage loans are processed and closed in accordance with secondary market guidelines and/or Board Policy. They serve as a point of contact for borrowers, realtors, settlement agents and other 3rd parties.

Starting Pay Rate: $36,180/yr (Commensurate with experience.)

Schedule: To be determined

This position will be a hybrid model of both in person and remote with the minimum onsite expectation of 40%, or as needed. #LIHybrid


DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES - Essential for this position:

  • Uses analysis and interpretation of facts and understanding of federal and state regulations, credit union policy, and secondary market guidelines for all real estate loans, conforming or non-conforming.
  • Assists with training of staff. Supports the processing and closing units to ensure mortgage loans are processed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitors mortgage pipelines and queues to ensure applications and assignments are being completed timely and accurately and informs supervisor of concerns.
  • Processes investment secured loans, construction loans and other complex and niche loan types.
  • Performs detailed member counseling over the phone regarding requirements for completion of applications, supporting documents and performs appropriate follow up ending with final disposition of loan request.

MINIMUM / PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

Three years of secondary market, first mortgage processing and/or closing.

Established sales experience with Realtors, builders and/or affinity groups,

And knowledge and experience to include consumer lending and share services

Or any equivalent combination of experience and education.

Must be able to qualify to receive a NMLS number, or if a number is already registered, must be in good standing.

Preferred Experience:

Coursework such as those offered by MBA, ADA, FNMA
