Job Summary

The Sr. Systems Administrator develops and maintains tools, systems and networks in support of an RF circuit design environment. As an individual contributor, you will be expected to manage the Linux environment, maintain a common image in support of a standard Compute environment to support our design teams across the globe.

Roles & Responsibilities

This position has responsibility for:

  • Administration of a geographically separated network with a focus on Linux System Administration
  • Administration of both bare metal, and virtual machines
  • Support on premise LINUX servers and cloud platforms (AWS)
  • Develop/Deploy, maintain, and support of utilities, applications, and scripts on Linux systems
  • Provide written documentation and training materials
  • Work closely with the software vendors to resolve bugs and drive new feature additions
  • Scripting and software development – e.g. Linux/UNIX shell scripting, Perl, SQL, etc.

Minimum Qualifications (Experience And Skills)

  • Typically requires 6 to 8 years of relevant experience depending on education level and experience
  • Extensive use and experience with Linux/UNIX
  • Understanding of networks and systems as they relate to Linux administration – e.g. DNS, Networking configurations, etc.
  • Experience with unattended OS installation and configuration software – e.g. Kickstart for host imaging
  • In-depth knowledge of change and configuration management systems, issue tracking (e.g. Jira), and revision control systems
  • Familiarity with automation software – e.g. Puppet, Ansible
  • Experience with storage use and configuration (NETAPP preferably)
  • Thorough knowledge of networking principles related to System Administration duties
  • Experience managing cloud environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and English language proficiency
  • Self-motivated and a cooperative team member
  • Experience managing AWS cloud environment
  • Travel to US and remote locations may be required.
  • U.S. Person status required

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Also, the position may be required to lift and install server or IT equipment up to 45 pounds.

USD 120,433.95 - 156,572.81 per year
