What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Technician - Harness position at PSI Power aka Ag Diesel Solutions?
Position Summary: The Harness Product Technician builds and tests wire harness and related assemblies according to required specifications. The Harness Technician may operate a variety of automated and manually operated shop tools in the process of manufacturing. May complete other tasks to support production such as assembly and sub-assembly processes, inspection and others as assigned.
Essential Functions (other responsibilities may be assigned):
· Build wiring harnesses and related assemblies per specifications.
· Document all production harness builds and related issues.
· Inspects and tests completed harness assemblies for defects and quality based on specifications.
· Read schematics to build prototypes and one-off products as directed.
· Potential need to participate and travel for trade shows/installation/training, etc.
· Follows all safety procedures and regulations.
· Maintains a clean and clutter free work station.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Ability to comprehend simple written and verbal instructions and procedures.
· Excellent attention to detail and follow-thru.
· Ability to perform in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and meet specified manufacturing goals.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and communicate effectively using email.
· Vision abilities including close vision and color vision.
· Ability to read measurement tools and perform basic shop math.
· Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
· Utilize a voltmeter for testing and troubleshooting purposes, a plus, but not required.
· Ability to solder and read wiring schematics preferred, but will offer training.
· Ability to work in a team environment.
Education and Experience:
· Manufacturing experience preferred.
· High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
· Excellent motor vehicle record (MVR) and valid Indiana Driver’s License (required).
