Psychiatric and Psychological Specialties (PPS) is seeking a Psychological Testing Technician & Intake Coordinator to join our interdisciplinary mental health practice. This is a dual-role position combining hands-on psychological testing support with intake coordination and patient access responsibilities.
This role is ideal for someone interested in psychology, healthcare, or future graduate training who enjoys both clinical work and meaningful patient interaction. Extensive training and supervision are provided.
Duties:
Psychological Testing Support
• Administer and score standardized psychological and neuropsychological tests
• Support evaluations for ADHD, neurodevelopmental, neurological, and psychiatric conditions
• Follow standardized testing protocols to ensure accuracy and validity
• Enter test data into the electronic health record
• Prepare testing materials and summaries for psychologist review
• Observe and document patient behavior and engagement during testing
• Create a calm, supportive testing environment
Intake Coordination and Client Access
• Serve as the first point of contact for new clients
• Respond to phone, email, and electronic inquiries within one business day
• Explain services, intake process, scheduling, fees, and insurance considerations
• Conduct structured intake screening to support appropriate clinician matching
• Schedule therapy, intake, and testing appointments
• Support a welcoming and organized first impression of the practice
Scheduling and Administrative Support
• Coordinate testing schedules and follow-up sessions
• Monitor patient progress through the evaluation workflow
• Collaborate with psychologists and administrative staff
• Maintain testing materials, rooms, and supplies
• Maintain accurate, confidential records in a paperless EHR system
Qualifications:
Required
• Bachelor’s degree (psychology or related field strongly preferred)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• High attention to detail and organization
• Professional judgment and emotional maturity
• Comfort using Microsoft Word, Excel, and electronic systems
• Willingness to learn standardized testing and clinical workflows
Preferred
• Experience with psychological testing, healthcare intake, or scheduling
• Familiarity with electronic health records
• Interest in graduate training or long-term healthcare careers
Training and Supervision
• Structured onboarding and hands-on training
• All testing conducted under licensed psychologist supervision
• Ongoing consultation and mentorship
• Excellent preparation for graduate programs in psychology or related fields

Compensation and Benefits
• $25–$30 per hour ($52,000–$60,000 annually), depending on experience
