What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Psychologist - PT position at PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICES?

The Bibb County School District is now accepting applications for a PT School Psychologist. 

 

Candidates must be certified in, or eligible for certification in School Psychology.


KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS: 
The School Psychologist must maintain highly confidential information in a professional manner.  This position requires one be regularly, predictably and reliably at work.  The ability to work well with students, parents, staff, and the community is a must.  High integrity, excellent character, and a good professional reputation are essential. The School Psychologist must be able to perform tasks involving sitting for prolonged periods of time.  Vision, hearing and verbal communication are essential functions in performing required tasks, duties and responsibilities.  


QUALIFICATIONS:
1.  Master's degree or above is required. Specialist or above is preferred. 
2.  Must possess (or meet qualifications for) Georgia educational certification in School Psychology.
3.  Some school-based experience is highly desired.
4.  Any alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and Board may find appropriate and acceptable. 

 

SALARY/TERMS/BENEFITS:
1.  20 hrs. per week.

2.  200 day work year.
3.  Salary based on certification and experience; placement on the Georgia Annual Salary Schedule and position supplement(s).
