What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technology Support Analyst position at Public Schools of Petoskey?
OVERVIEW: Support a 2000-workstation, 2000 laptop, and 20-server (voice, video, and data) environment serving approximately 3000 users with e-mail, inter/intranet services, security, printing, and applications. Also responsible for all peripherals such as laser printers, plotters, scanners, and digital cameras. Installation, upgrading, maintenance, and troubleshooting of software will also be required.
BEGINING PAY: $18-$20/hour

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma; Associate's Degree in Computer Science preferred.
- Ability to identify different technologies such as projectors, port types & cabling.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software.
- Comfort working with multiple platforms such as iOS, iPadOS, Windows, macOS, & Chrome OS.
- Working knowledge of MS Office.
- Good communication skills.
- A pleasant, positive attitude, and an interest in helping staff and students (including those with special needs).
- Ability to achieve further certifications deemed necessary.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board of education and Director of Technology deem appropriate and acceptable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide frontline support for staff, students and parents, including remote support.
- Manage tickets in the district’s Helpdesk system.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Provide support for Google Workspace for Education.
- Pickup and deliver equipment between buildings.
- Assist in the deployment of new technology.
- Help maintain an accurate inventory of district technology.
- Keep up with changes to solutions in use and evaluate new solutions.
- Have flexibility to learn and adapt to new and changing technological advances.
- Research hardware and software solutions to meet district needs, including privacy policies and data use compliance.
- Communicate with vendors to purchase and repair various hardware and equipment.
- Tutor individuals/small groups about security, network usage, applications, and account operations.
- Research and share tech tips or tools via email.
- Maintain an efficient and organized work environment.
