Job Title: Consumer Loan Underwriter

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Romulus, MI

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Consumer Loan Underwriter. As a Consumer Loan Underwriter, you will be responsible for evaluating and approving loan applications for our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Review loan applications and assess creditworthiness of applicants
• Analyze financial information and credit reports to determine risk
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
• Communicate with loan officers and applicants to gather additional information as needed
• Make loan decisions based on established guidelines and risk tolerance
• Maintain accurate and complete loan files

• 
  Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in consumer loan underwriting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of lending regulations and compliance requirements
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
