What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate Communications Developer, Corporate Communications position at Publix?
The Corporate Communications Developer is the expert in associate communications from developing the strategy to executing communications. Whether through personalized or mass messages, you are a key element in making Publix’s efforts successful. You will use your expertise and passion to help perpetuate the Publix culture and build brand advocates through our more than 250,000 associates and their family members, as well as promote Publix’s strategy, facilitate change and increase associate buy-in. The Corporate Communications Developer reports to the Corporate Communications Strategist.
Additional responsibilities include the following:
• counseling internal clients on communication strategies in order to meet company and project or department objectives
• developing ongoing associate-directed communications to educate and inform associates of company strategy, initiatives and goals.
• creating miscellaneous communication materials to assist other departments in providing accurate and timely internal and external communication.
• developing communications, video scripts and speeches for company leaders.
• four years of experience in the fields of public relations, journalism, integrated marketing communication, or business communication
• knowledge of the supermarket retail industry and business
• knowledge of publications’ styles, formats, word-count allowances, etc.
• knowledge of Associated Press style
• knowledge of campaign development to strategically plan a campaign to solve a business problem
• knowledge of benefits, insurance and financial terminology and communication laws
• knowledge of printing process and terminology
• knowledge of photographic design and elements
• ability to write in a clear and concise manner and the ability to edit and proofread communications accurately
• ability to envision a final product structurally and graphically and communicate this to others
• ability to be creative, consistent and innovative
• excellent interpersonal and interviewing skills
• project management and time management skills
• ability to persuade, negotiate, and exercise professionalism
• ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
