Description
Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Tech - Perform a variety of chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests and procedures and related duties, to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease, following established standards and practices. Directly assists the physician with testing analysis. Prioritizes workflow with regard to patient's clinical status. 37.5 - 40 Hrs. per week.
Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor degree in medical technology or related science form an accredited school. ASCP Certified as medical technologist. May specialize in a specific area through advanced training. Sufficient previous experience in all areas of laboratory with supervisory capabilities if assigned as technical/lead medical technologist. Must meet minimum CLIA requirements to perform high complexity tests. Work independently. Phlebotomy required, will be responsible for maintenance and calibrations in addition to patient testing. PREFERRED: BS degree.
