The Position: PAR seeks a dynamic and enthusiastic full-time AR Billing Specialist to perform all aspects of the revenue cycle, and other tasks related to medical billing claims for the practice. Enjoy weekly pay with the opportunity to grow in a team orientated work environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Revenue Cycle Process.
- Apply Private Payer Policies.
- Apply Government Payer Policies.
- Follow up on Claim Statuses.
- Resolve Claim Denials.
- Submit Appeals.
- Daily Analysis and Resolution of outstanding insurance accounts receivable.
- Post Payments and Adjustments
- Manage Collections
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II Coding Guidelines
- Complete daily tasks: responding to insurance representatives.
- Charge entry.
- Assist Billing Director with daily workload as time permits.
- Perform other duties as assigned by provider, supervisor, or member of Administration – for example, cross trained to improve the revenue cycle.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. One year of medical billing office experience in a medical practice or one year of customer service experience is preferred.
Knowledge
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM
- Knowledge of a medical billing claim life cycle
- Knowledge of effective claim follow up.
Skills
- Computer software skills in a Windows environment
- Skill in using Allscripts PM and EMR
- Skill in using office equipment, including multiline phone, copier and fax machine.

- Effectively communicate verbally on the phone and in writing in email
- Adapts to changes in policies, processes, and systems.
- Works quickly while paying close attention to detail.
- Ability to use good judgment.
