Qualifications:
- A comprehensive understanding of pre and post-procedure patient care requirements.
- Must possess a proactive "can-do" attitude, demonstrating initiative and adaptability to change, while maintaining a professional appearance.
- Ability to handle high-stress situations effectively.
- Experience in Emergency Room (ER), Operating Room (OR), or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) settings required.
- Educational Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing school.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of New Jersey.
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
Basic Function and Responsibility:
- Create a conducive environment conducive to a positive patient care experience by assessing, planning, and executing effective care plans, while maintaining clear communication with patients and their families.
- Act as the primary coordinator of all disciplines involved in patient care in an acute or clinic setting.
- Make informed decisions in response to changes in patient condition or treatment responses, maintaining a composed demeanor.
- Utilize Electronic Health Record systems for accurate documentation of patient care.
- Coordinate effectively with physicians and team members regarding changes in patient status, test results, and critical values.
- Provide individualized, age-appropriate, safe, and high-quality patient care throughout pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure phases.
- Serve as a resource and collaborate with other team members using the nursing process to enhance patient care outcomes.
- Accountable for daily clinical operations, including care for preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patients, with proficiency in assessment, pain management, sedation, and related complications.
- Administer sedation and analgesia as appropriate and monitor patients accordingly.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, adherence to policies and procedures, unit efficiencies, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain nursing operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Provide patient and healthcare team information by responding to inquiries and requests.
- Uphold a safe and clean working environment through the implementation of procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Preserve patient confidentiality and operational integrity by monitoring the processing of confidential information.
- Maintain documentation of patient care services through auditing patient and clinic records.
- Manage nursing supplies inventory by identifying trends and anticipating needs.
- Foster a cooperative relationship among the healthcare team by effectively communicating information, responding to requests, and building rapport.
General Guidelines for all Clinical and Administrative Personnel:
- Familiarize and adhere to AAAASF Guidelines and internal care delivery policies.
- Supervise and participate in team activities, leading by example.
- Ensure patient and family involvement in care decisions, while promoting patient and family autonomy.
- Follow proper procedures for reporting patient and staff injuries.
Infection Control:
- Implement all aspects of the Infection Control Policy as applicable.
Team Work:

- Adhere to patient and staff rights and responsibilities.
- Provide customer satisfaction-oriented environment.

- Ensure a safe environment for patients, families, and staff.
- Assist in the orientation of new personnel as assigned.
Recognizing Abuse and Neglect:
- Identify high-risk families or situations and take appropriate actions.
- Notify physicians if signs of abuse/neglect are present.
Patient Education:
- Assess patient learning needs and document education teaching per policy.
- Assist patients and families with additional educational needs.
Patient Advocacy:
- Maintain patient confidentiality and attend required trainings and in-services.
Integration and Coordination of Care:
- Coordinate care across settings and disciplines.
Safety and Emergency Preparedness:
- Describe safety plans and respond to potential emergent situations effectively.

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
