Title: Coordinator of Pupil Services
Classification: ACT 93/Confidential-Exempt
Reports To: Director of Pupil Services
Primary Function: To provide supervisory support and assistance to all areas of the Pupil Services office functions in a highly confidential manner.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and evaluate all office staff assigned to the Pupil Services Department.
- Work with PIMS administrator to complete state reports and ensure accuracy.
- Oversee the Medical Access program and submits required documentation.
- Delegate tasks to office staff.
- Monitor office staff for work accuracy, work completion, and productivity.
- Provide training and mentors new support staff.
- Assist the Director of Pupil Services and the supervisory team in managing and monitoring IEP and Service Agreement caseloads.
- Work with the Director and Business office in preparing the annual budget.
- Monitor expenditures during the school year and prepare, process, and monitor purchase orders.
- Prepare all documents for Dispute Resolution Process and schedule dates and times for witness prep, mediation, due process, etc.
- Work as liaison of Director with attorney’s office preparing legal agreements.
- Monitor the implementation of compensatory education settlements.
- Provide requested confidential information to parents.
- Prepare letters, documents and reports using varied software programs such as Word, Excel, etc.
Other Job Duties:
- Perform any additional related task as directed by the Director of Pupil Services
- Perform other reasonably related duties in equal or lower classifications assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED with five years of previous experience supporting the varies services related to the duties and responsibilities of a Pupil Services Department. Ability to work in a confidential, multi-task-oriented environment using computers, keyboards and other office equipment.
- Physically able to perform the essential functions of the job.
- High degree dexterity to operate office equipment and personal computer.
- Must be highly organized, have above average time management skills, and the ability to supervise others.
- Ability to work in a team environment with functional and technical individuals.
- Satisfactory health, work, criminal and child abuse clearances.
Work Environment:
- Employees work primarily in a climate-controlled environment except when traveling to other buildings, meetings, training locations and other areas.
- Frequent sitting and walking,
- Lifting and carrying up to 15 lbs.
- Occasional pushing/pulling, stooping, kneeling, using stairs, bending, reaching and twisting.
Terms of Employment: In accordance with the Act 93 Agreement (260-day work year)
