DENTAL ASSISTANT for Mobile Dental Program

Job Type: Full-time-37.5-hour work week
60 Contracted (unpaid) days per year, based on school schedule
Contract days include: Reduced to half-time schedule in the Summer (one week on one week off for pay [period total of 37.5hours), Thanksgiving week, two weeks at Christmas, Spring Break, Fall Break, revolve around the monthly school closings or holidays.
$16-18 per hour based on experience

Job Description:
The Floss and Gloss Dental Program is an in school dental program offered to children and adolescents, enrolled in grades K-12. The Floss and Gloss program provides preventative dental care to students as well as referrals for follow up treatment.
Being a dental program assistant means you’ll be surrounded by a high energy team focused on a high level of care provided to children as well as providing educational materials to children regarding their oral health. Our team is hard-working, motivated and extremely passionate about providing services to children who may not have access to dental care.
Primary duties:
Our program is seeking a hard-working, motivated individual who can multi-task and has excellent communication skills.
Due to the program being mobile, hours are set based on the individual school day and travel times. Scheduling flexibility is a must as the hours can range between 6am to 5pm but will not exceed 37.5 per week. The Summer schedule offers the most flexibility in hours. The program operates during school hours. Example: School starts at 7:00 am then clinic starts at 7:00 am. This means that staff sets up the clinic and travels to the clinic prior to 7:00 am. During the 120 clinic days, you will need to be available to work from clinic start time to finish time. 70% of the time, work will start before 7:30 am. Work only extends past 4:30 pm a few times a year. This would include travel for conferences and back-to-school-type events.
Primary duties include:
- Check-in students/verifying identity
- Dental Charting
- Assisting with Teledentistry including intraoral photographs and videos
- Dispense proper take-home goods and resources to patient
- Data Entry
- Set up, break down, and sanitization of hygiene stations
- Instrument processing and sterilization
Other duties include:
- Assembling toothbrush kits
- Making tray set-up
- Laundering PPE
- Sterilization monitoring
- Based on experience, other duties may apply.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
