Purchasing Power is looking to hire an Email Marketing Specialist to our exciting and fast-paced, E-commerce Marketing team.

Reporting to the Email Marketing Manager the Email Marketing Specialist will support the growth of the email channel – one of the most important business drivers at Purchasing Power - through flawless execution of promotional, triggered and transactional email campaigns. This is a hands-on role, working to build and execute campaigns in our communication tool. Oracle Responsys.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage email execution from conception to deployment including promotional, triggered and transactional campaigns
- Partner closely with the Email Marketing Manager and with cross functional teams to ensure email marketing calendar is aligned to support the overall promotional and content calendar
- Partake in the creative briefing process, ensuring briefs are submitted in timely manner and that they provide clarity in terms of terms of messaging and creative needs to meet business objectives
- Make recommendations to continuously improve our email templates, personalization and advanced features
- Partner with Email Marketing manager on a testing roadmap; conduct A/B tests to improve email KPIs
- Work cross-functionally to ensure alignment of email linking strategy to .com landing experience
- Report on campaign performance weekly, monthly and annually, to build improved email messages for increased engagement and conversion
- Assist in the execution of the triggered and transactional email programs; make recommendations for additional triggers and customer journeys
- Keep up-to-date on industry trends, best practices and techniques
- Research and stay ahead of digital innovation, exploring new digital opportunities and formulating proposals for how they can be leveraged.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
- 2+ years of experience in email marketing
- Hands on experience with HTML and content management systems
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and external agencies to produce creative projects from start to finish
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word & Powerpoint)
- Outstanding analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to evaluate and change priorities daily and to perform efficiently within a fast-paced team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Oracle Responsys/Eloqua or other marketing automation platform experience
- Photoshop experience
- Copywriting experience
- E-commerce and/or retail experience a plus
