Purchasing Power is looking to hire a Financial Analyst to join our exciting and fast-paced, Finance team.

The Financial Analyst will utilize their expertise to develop budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans to drive overall business success. The position will provide output for critical decision-making; accuracy and timely reporting are critical evaluation criteria for the position. This individual may be required to provide input to or participate in various projects and will perform other duties as requested.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop clear, metric-based, financial plans/forecasts including monthly projections, annual budgets, long range plans, and related updates
- Analyze financial and operational results versus forecast and plan, investigate significant variances and communicate findings to management team
- Evaluate business activities and present results, recommendations to enhance operational strategies both for awareness, effectiveness, and overall financial benefit
- Approve PO requests based on remaining availability in budgeted OPEX spend
- Prepare Ad-hoc financial analysis and management reports on request
- Recognize and communicate financial implications of business decisions and strategy
- Perform predictive and prescriptive analytics to support growth of profit
- Develop and maintain models and analyses to aid in the validation of existing forecasts; support strategic initiatives and help review critical financial decisions
- Evaluate and stay current on the latest analytical tools and trends
- Lead meetings and develop presentations to easily explain analysis and drive actionable results
- Administer internal and external financial and management reporting including investor and banking relations
- Manage the preparation of executive, board level, investors, and research presentations
- Create process procedures, standards, and flows for current and future state initiatives/analysis
- Ensure all deliverables adhere to department quality and delivery standards
- Complete special projects as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field
- 3 years in relevant financial analysis and reporting role, preferably in a corporate FP&A role
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to build consensus and project plans
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP’s, Pivot Tables, and analyzing large data sets)
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Proven problem-solving, conceptual thinking, and analytical abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Oracle Financials
- Experience with Adaptive Financial Planning tool
- Consumer Ecommerce and/or Retail experience
