Role Overview:
As an Account Manager in our commercial landscape company, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and developing client relationships, focusing on sectors such as developers, HOA boards, and facility directors. Your expertise in the landscape industry will be crucial in understanding and meeting client needs, ensuring satisfaction, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with a diverse client base, including developers, HOA boards, management companies, and facility/maintenance directors.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client queries and concerns, offering timely and effective solutions.
- Understand and cater to specific client needs, particularly in terms of plant and turf types, and offer tailored contract sales solutions.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams such as operations and branch management to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
- Regularly conduct site visits, engage in networking events, and make in-person/phone sales calls to build and maintain client relationships.
- Oversee long-term project management, including macro and personal level client management, and engage in industry-specific networking.
- Drive new contract sales and accurately forecast future sales opportunities in the commercial landscape sector.
- Identify and leverage opportunities for account growth and upselling.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in account management, preferably within the commercial landscape or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of plant and turf types, and an understanding of the commercial landscape market.
- Exceptional negotiation, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and adapt to changing situations.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field is preferred.
- Industry-specific certifications are beneficial but not mandatory.
