Company Name: PurTera IT

Job location: Atlanta Metropolitan Area (On-site)

About PurTera IT

PurTera IT specializes in field service solutions, combining more than 60 years of industry expertise with innovative, AI driven workflow automation. We have scaled teams across multiple continents and supported thousands of deployments across data centers, retail, hospitality, healthcare, and business. Our teams are built on disciplined execution, clear communication, and operational readiness, and we take pride in being a workplace where people can grow, thrive, and deliver exceptional outcomes for clients.

The Opportunity

We are building our PMO from the ground up, and we are looking for a PMO Director who wants to own that journey.

This is a high impact leadership role for someone who loves creating structure, building teams, and driving delivery excellence across a growing professional services organization. You may roll up your sleeves on projects early on, but your core mission is to design, launch, and scale a PMO that can support increasing deal volume, complexity, and customer expectations.

You will define how we deliver, how we measure success, how we communicate, and how we continuously improve, then you will hire and lead the Project Managers who bring that operating model to life.

What You Will Do

  • Build and lead PurTera IT’s PMO, including the operating model, governance, and delivery standards
  • Establish portfolio and program management practices that align delivery to business priorities
  • Create repeatable frameworks for planning, execution, status reporting, change control, and issue resolution
  • Own delivery performance across timelines, budget, scope, quality, and client satisfaction
  • Drive resource planning and capacity management across teams and regions
  • Implement and optimize the toolset (including custom built software and purchased platforms) to improve visibility and execution
  • Identify and proactively manage delivery risks, dependencies, and escalation paths
  • Partner closely with leadership, sales, operations, and delivery teams to strengthen handoffs and outcomes
  • Recruit, hire, coach, and develop a team of Project Managers as the organization scales

Who You Are

You are a builder. You have led complex delivery environments, you know what “good” looks like, and you can turn that into a system that scales. You bring clarity, accountability, and momentum, without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience leading Project Management, Program Management, and Project Portfolio Management
  • Proven success delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality
  • Excellent people leadership, including managing cross functional teams and developing PM talent
  • Strong analytical and operational thinking, you use data to spot issues early and drive decisions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management, you build trust and transparency
  • Comfortable working with project tools and modern delivery methodologies
  • PMP is a plus, not required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field
  • Experience supporting IT services, field operations, logistics, healthcare, retail, or data centers is highly desirable

Why This Role Is Different

  • You are not inheriting a mature PMO, you are creating it
  • You will have direct influence on how PurTera delivers projects, scales teams, and serves clients
  • You will build a PM organization, develop leaders, and leave a clear operational legacy

Apply

  • If you are looking for a leadership role where you can build, scale, and own the delivery engine of a fast growing IT services company, we would love to meet you.
