Job Summary
Buyer
Full time, On Site
Reports to the Materials Manager and responsible for the following duties:
- Create and place orders through P21.
- Responsible for tracking, confirming and expediting all orders.
- Ensure timely execution of purchases from Sales request.
- Negotiate special pricing with vendors on specific orders.
- Effectively communicate with multiple stakeholders such as, but not limited to, inside sales, vendors and Branch Manager.
- Communicate vendor policy and personnel changes.
- Become familiar with standard products used and research vendors for cost effectiveness, quality, terms etc.
- Respond to any issues related to invoices, product delivery or shipping
- Assist in large quote / order negotiations.
- Any other purchasing needs as designated by the Materials Manager.

- One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent math, verbal and written communication skills.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
