Job Duties

Job Summary: Responsible for gathering the requested information from the medical records and releasing within the HIPAA guidelines.

Job Responsibilities:

• Answering incoming calls
• Greet guests coming into the office
• Gather information off the in-office requests
• Fax patient information to the requester
• Track statistical information 
• Track Death Certificates
• Communication with 3rd party record release company
• Scanning and checking reports
• Performs other duties as assigned
   

Qualifications

Educational Experience: HS Graduate or Equivalent

Years of Experience: 1-2 years 

Age Requirements: 18

Qualifications:

• Excellent understanding of HIPAA regulations and Release of Information standards
• Must have excellent organizational skills
• Attention to detail
• Must be able to multi-task effectively
• Have Customer Service background
• Great phone etiquette

Preferred Skills:

• Medical office work history
• Preferred education in Medical Administration, Health Information Technology, or equivalent degree
