As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated 6G Pipe Welder to join our team.
Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday-Friday, day shift. Occasional overtime and/or weekends as needed.
Basic Job Responsibilities
- Read and interpret shop drawings, isometric drawings, and welding procedures to determine welding requirements.
- Fabricate piping systems on carbon steel, stainless steel, and various alloys.
- Fabricate tank and pressure vessels using the appropriate hand tools and positioners.
- Conduct visual inspections of welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Operate heavy steel fabrication machinery.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute welding projects efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to and follow all safety rules and PPE requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a 6G welding test.
- Proficient in ASME process piping using GMAW/FCAW-G and GTAW on carbon steel and other alloys.
- Ability to pass x-ray and Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing in accordance with ASME.
- Previous experience with tank and pressure vessel fabrication.
- Be a forward-thinking individual and a self-starter.
- Ability to work well with others and take instruction from supervisors.
- Experience with standard shop equipment including overhead cranes.
- Must pass pre-employment substance abuse testing.
