Description
Retail Team Members at Typhoon Texas play a key role in creating memorable guest experiences by delivering outstanding Texas-friendly service while assisting guests with merchandise purchases. Retail Team Members are responsible for operating retail locations, maintaining attractive product displays, driving sales, and ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming shopping environment. By upholding park standards and embodying Typhoon Texas values, Retail Team Members help ensure every guest has a Good-Clean-Fun day at the park.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding customer service by warmly greeting guests with a friendly “Howdy” and maintaining a Texas-friendly attitude at all times.
- Assist guests with merchandise selection, sizing, and product information to enhance their shopping experience.
- Drive sales initiatives by upselling featured merchandise, promotions, and add-on items.
- Operate the point-of-sale system (POS) and accurately process payments in an honest, organized, and efficient manner, adhering to Typhoon Texas procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of retail spaces, including aisles, shelves, countertops, displays, and storage areas.
- Restock merchandise and ensure products are properly displayed, tagged, and priced.
- Conduct inventory counts as assigned and report discrepancies or low stock levels to leadership.
- Answer guest questions and resolve minor concerns; escalate issues or complaints to a supervisor when necessary.
- Ensure loss prevention practices are followed and report suspicious activity to leadership.
- Follow all Pyek Group and Typhoon Texas policies and procedures.
- Embody Typhoon Texas’s moment-making keys of intentionality, Texas-friendliness, safety, cleanliness, and fun.
- Assist with other responsibilities, roles, departments, or park locations as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- May be required to lift 25–50 lbs.
- May be required to work in various weather conditions, such as direct sunlight, high temperatures, or rain.
- Must be able to multitask and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to communicate in a positive and professional manner and work well with others.
