Pay Range: $60 - $65/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• The position supports a large-scale zOS environment.
• This role supports the development of project, processes and procedures used in performing software implementation, maintenance, certification testing, development, and documentation of operational procedures, problem debugging and root cause analysis, interaction with software vendors.
• The group this position is part of will require some off-hours and weekend work as well as potentially rotation in 24 x 7 ONCALL support.
• This position is responsible for the enhancement of our project management and product support documentation, part of the effort will be to experience and participate in IMS systems related work assignments to then be able to use these experiences in the project management and support education and documentation efforts.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Key Skills; IMS utilities, JCL, TSO/ISPF, Backup/Recovery
• IMS Database Administration (DB/DC systems) including knowledge of DL/I calls, hierarchical data structure.
• Mainframe Utilities & Tools IBM IMS utilities, JCL, TSO/ISPF.
• Performance Tuning & Backup/Recovery
• The position requires a strong knowledge of IMS, JCL, JIRA, One Note, SharePoint, Microsoft Office products.
• Additionally this candidate would be working with Client and vendor utilities and being able to work with various technical groups, application developers and LOB to perform technical tasks and to ensure project management and support processes work successfully.
• This position requires a strong familiarity of zOS mainframe infrastructure, with a focus on Client IMS.
• This position is one that needs someone with a passion for developing project plans, structuring, and developing discipline related documentation for processes and procedures.
• They will need to lean on their technical IMS and z/OS experience to be able to evaluate existing material and develop or transition the information into forms usable by the team and capable of being ingested into our tools of choice such as Remedy, and Jira.
• They must possess good analytical skills as well as a technical familiarity with debugging/diagnosing skills. 5 - 10 years experience required.
• Good communication skills both written and oral are required as the individual must interface with the existing IMS systems programmers, IMS DBA, application developers, support teams, software vendors and management staff.
