Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, individualized perioperative patient care
- Perform the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) using evidence-based practice
- Provide patient-centered and culturally competent care
- Partner with patients and families through education, updates, and care planning
- Coordinate and document safe, quality patient care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and participate in shared governance
- Support quality improvement, performance initiatives, and research utilization
- Serve as a preceptor/mentor to nurses, staff, or students as needed
- Maintain compliance with clinical standards, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Assist with resource utilization, protocol development, and care coordination
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Must Have Skills; Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Georgia or Compact)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
- Strong perioperative / clinical nursing expertise
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
- Proficiency with EMR/documentation and basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to respond calmly and decisively in emergency situations
- Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Licensure & Certifications (required upon hire):
- Active RN License (Single-State of Georgia or Compact)
- BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Minimum 1 years of direct patient care RN experience
- Ability to deliver individualized care in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Commitment to Hospital care standards, safety policies, and code of conduct
- Ability to work night shift (for this specific role)
