Assessment Counselor

Pyramid Healthcare in York has an extensive history of providing high-quality outpatient treatment in southeastern Pennsylvania through its subsidiary programs: Rehab After Work, The Light Program, and Seeds of Hope. With comprehensive and individualized treatment plans, Pyramid Healthcare is an invaluable resource to adults and teens suffering from substance use, mental health, and/or eating disorders. We are currently seeking a Assessment Counselor to support our clients at York. Salary Range: starting at $50,000/year (based on experience/credentials)

Schedule: Monday and Tuesday 12pm-8pm, Wednesday through Friday 9am-5pm. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Introduce and explain the Level of Care Assessment (LOCA) process to clients.
• Collect demographic and historical information relevant to the LOCA.
• Explain and facilitate signatures for Releases of Information (ROI) and other admission paperwork.
• Facilitate admission process by communicating with Licensed Counselor when client is ready for clinical portion of the LOCA.
• Gather information for and complete precertification for all managed care clients when applicable.
• Required to find placement in appropriate setting for the client.
• Other duties as assigned.

• ASAM aligned substance programs must meet one of the below requirements:
a) Master’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology,
social work, counseling with a Master’s level licensure: Marriage and family therapy, social work,
professional counseling or certification by a state wide certification board.
b) Master’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology,
social work, counseling and are working towards a Master’s level licensure (Marriage and family
therapy, social work, professional counseling), or certification by a state wide certification board
(CAADC)
c) Bachelors Level with a CADC or are working towards a CADC with a minimum of one year of
qualifying clinical experience.
d) High School Diploma or equivalent with a CAAC
e) Current licensure in this Commonwealth as a registered nurse and a degree from an accredited
school of nursing and one year of qualifying clinical experience
