What are the responsibilities and job description for the Education Specialist / Tutor position at Pyramid Healthcare?

Summary
The Educational Specialist will be responsible for helping the adolescents (12-18 years old) with their academic assignments. This would not be a traditional classroom setting. The tutor will be monitoring / helping students during the group sessions over a wide range of general topics (math, science, history, english, etc.).
Shift: Monday - Friday - 1:00pm – 3:00pm 10 hours per week. This is a year round position.
Pay: $24 - $25/hr

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Support the clinical team with teacher communication protocols for parents, school districts and outside agencies.
- Provide daily instruction for students attending the PHP and IOP programs.
- Ensure lesson plans and instruction align to standards and are designed to meet the individual needs and goals of each student.
- Ensure all education timelines and progress monitoring are completed with fidelity.
- Ensure lesson plans and instruction align to standards, including evidenced-based practices and materials.
- Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality regarding all company information.
- Completion of all required trainings as designed by the company and accreditation/licensing entities.
- Other duties assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field Teaching/tutoring
- Experience working within Behavioral Health or Special Education preferred
