- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in communications, human resources, business administration, education or
- another related field with five (5) years work experience in training and two (2) years of supervision in a manufacturing field OR possess an Associate’s degree with eight (8) years work experience and two (2) years of supervision in a manufacturing field.
- Must be able to receive clearance from Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE).
- Must possess valid state driver’s license.
- Be able to read, speak, and understand English.
- Must have familiarity with modern and traditional training methods.

JOB DUTIES:
- The Training Manager will identify and monitor training needs in the organization, and design, plan, and implement training programs, policies, and procedures to fulfill those needs for both Radford, VA and Delanson, NY facilities.
- Manage and oversee staff of Training Supervisor, Team Leaders and Trainers.
- Ensures that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective.
- Maintains knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the organization and/or industry which can enhance the company’s training procedures and provide value to the employees.
- Identifies problems and opportunities such as operational changes or industry developments that training could generate higher productivity and safety among staff.
- Conducts or facilitates required and recommended training sessions.
- Collaborates with vendors and third-party training providers to arrange employee registration for and participation in outside training programs.
- Ensures that training milestones and goals are met while adhering to approved training budget.
- Ensure that staffing is appropriate for needs of business.
- Supervise and/or deliver on-the-job skills training for new hires as needed.
- Communicate training schedules to all stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Oversee training sessions and ensure the Trainers and employees have all the tools and resources they need for success.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate employee training records for compliance purposes.
- Must be committed to ISO and the company's Quality Management System using process approach and risk-based thinking methodologies.
- Ensure the Quality Policy and quality objectives are communicated to the Training Department, new hires and all employees.
- Shares accountability for the effectiveness of the Quality Management System.
- Ensure Training department is in compliance with ISO requirements.
- Participate in Yearly Management Review of all ISO documentation as scheduled
- Report any training issues and/or problems experienced by Trainers/trainees to management.
- Oversee and assist in correcting safety and/or quality issues as found per trend analysis, experience with employees, and/or as reported to the Training Department by Trainers/supervision.
- Work with Safety and Security to ensure all various safety related functions (i.e., audits, drills, safety program evaluations) as directed by the Director of EHS&S Compliance are conducted.
- Responsible for the development of lessons for Basic Operator Training (BOT) for new employees.
- Gather and prepare information needed for Weekly Staff Meeting presentation, Quarterly Management Reviews and Solicitations. Represent department at each meeting.
- Work with Purchasing Manager for ordering personal protective clothing for newly hired employees.
- Establish and maintain a positive human relations climate in the department utilizing good communication practices, expeditious handling of complaints and problems, consistency, and even-handed treatment of employees.

- Approve Weekly Time Sheets and approve requests for Vacation / Personal days of staff.
- Complete and administer scheduled Performance Reviews.

- Ensure all necessary information is conveyed to Human Resource Department in a timely manner as it relates to department.
- Obey all Company work and safety rules.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Director of EHS&S Compliance.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to stand or walk for 8 to 12 hours per shift.

Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
