What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electro-Mechanical Assembler position at Q-Lab Corporation?
Q-Lab is currently seeking a Electro-Mechanical Assembler. This is a 1st shift position in Westlake, Ohio. We offer an amazing work environment in a clean, safe facility.
Reporting to the Production Manager, this position will be responsible for assembling the machines and equipment using blueprints and other written and verbal specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assemble electrical and mechanical components
- Follow detailed engineering drawings and parts lists to complete proper assembly
- Prepare sub-assemblies and related parts for final assembly
- Wire, solder, install tubing and options in sub-assembly for final assembly
- Utilize problem-solving skills as a resource for continuous improvement
- Use a variety of hand-tools and power tools to complete product assembly
- Follow Lean Manufacturing 5S practices
- Assist with all aspects of Assembly when needed
Qualifications for this role:
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics
- Working knowledge of and ability to use mechanical, electrical and measuring tools
- Able to work in a team-oriented environment
- 2 years’ previous electrical assembly experience
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
