JOB SUMMARY: The Food Safety Strategic Accounts Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining all Corporate Food Safety Relationships in our strategic accounts (Perdue, Butterball, Cargill, Tyson, etc.). This individual is the point of contact for the customers key Corporate Food Safety Team. This job requires frequent plant visits to the strategic accounts, followed by corporate visits to the strategic account headquarters to discuss visits with the key members of their Corporate Food Safety Team. Specifically a key goal of this position is to standardize QSI practices across the individual accounts for each strategic account. This is will require strong relationships at the corporate level. This individual will review facilities for sanitary design challenges, sanitation tools and equipment needs and work closely with the Strategic Accounts Manager to provide solutions for resolution. This individual will also need to be very well versed in chemicals and required to review the chemical allocations for the facilities to ensure “liked” practices are implemented across the strategic account. The Food Safety Strategic Accounts Manager will be available for auditing purposes as needed. More specifically, they will oversee and audit the QSI RTE facility at regular intervals to ensure compliance with all QSI “best practices” and that all Master Sanitation Schedules are being completed at the recommended frequencies. The Food Safety Accounts Manager will be available for all Listeria Crisis situations as an expert and resource for our RTE customers. The Food Safety Strategic Accounts Manager will oversee the 3rd Party Trainings provided to The Vincit Group Customers, this includes obtaining training certification and conducting the classes. (BRC, SQF, HACCP, Food Safety Workshops, etc.) The Food Safety Strategic Accounts Manager will work alongside the Strategic Accounts Manager to assemble and conduct the Corporate Business Reviews for all Strategic Accounts. This will require attendance to the reviews. The Food Safety Strategic Accounts Manager would work alongside the QSI Sales Team during the bidding process, more so in FDA opportunities as needed. EDUCATION: Required: Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, food safety, agricultural science or related field; or equivalent years of demonstrated experience in the Food Safety field. Preferred: Master’s degree in microbiology, food safety, agricultural science or related field EXPERIENCE: Required: 7-10 years of documented, successful working experience in a food safety position with direct management responsibility Preferred: 10 years of experience in a Food Safety or Quality Assurance Management Role within the Food Processing Industry. POSITION REQUIREMENT(S): Specialized Skills/License/Certification Required: Must possess expert knowledge in all Food Safety regulations required for in the processing industry. Must be familiar with GMPs and possess strong knowledge in the role chemicals play in eliminating microorganisms. Previous experience working BRC, SQF, YUM, and FSA audits Preferred: Approved Training Provider for BRC, SQF, HACCP Requirements: The successful candidate(s): Must be willing to travel extensively. Must be willing to work all shifts including nights, weekends and holidays. Must be willing to work in all environmental conditions that exist in food processing plants (hot, cold, loud and wet). Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor and represent the company in a professional manner to our customers, prospective customers, managers and employees. Must be able to work effectively with all levels of the organization, including client personnel, government officials, QSI management, supervisory and entry-level hourly employees. Must be dependable, competent and willing to follow up on assigned tasks. Must have and maintain strong organizational skills and have the ability to multi-task. Must insist upon the safe work practices of all company employees assigned to their supervision. Must be computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office products including SharePoint. Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to instruct and/or communicate with individuals and/or groups of people including subordinate employees, peers, managers, customers and government officials. Must be willing to be involved with all aspects of QSI operations.
