What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director, Capital Markets position at QTS Data Centers?
The Director of Capital Markets manages the execution and management of QTS’ financing and capital markets activities and plays an integral role in developing long-term financial strategy for the Company. This role involves managing near- and long-term liquidity forecasting for the Company and identifying financing strategies to optimize capital resources. This role will also play an integral role in developing long-term financial strategy for the Company and contribute directly in strategic projects including M&A, long-term forecasting, competitive research and valuation analysis. In this role you will report to the EVP of Finance and work as a key member of a small, tight-knit team in a fast-paced environment supporting QTS’ accelerating growth profile. Recently privatized in a $10 billion transaction with Blackstone, QTS is positioned to execute on a global expansion initiative with rapidly expanding financing and strategic requirements. You will have regular interaction and exposure to the broader executive leadership team as well as members of Blackstone, one of the largest and most sophisticated private investment firms in the world. In addition, the Director of Capital Markets will have the opportunity to contribute to financial reporting and presentations to executive leadership on a regular basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead the execution and administration of complex financial transactions, including collaboration with banking partners, coordination among internal departments and other transaction participants, evaluation of key financing terms, and ongoing administration
· Independently develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making including liquidity and interest forecasting, sensitivity analysis and capital allocation
· Prepare and present materials and analysis to internal leaders and Blackstone partners in support of overall financial strategy
· Subject matter expert in QTS’ capital structure and financing terms and independently manage ongoing administration and compliance
· Contribute to ongoing strategic initiatives including M&A and global expansion
· Contribute to preparation and presentation of Board materials, ongoing reporting dashboards and ad hoc requests
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree preferably in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Mathematics; MBA desirable
· 7 years of work experience in investment banking or financial equity research program or similar role in financial planning and analysis or real estate capital markets within a public company
· Experience with executing financial transactions such as credit facilities and asset-backed securitization desirable
· Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
· Advanced proficiency in analytical and financial modeling including ability to build comprehensive models including integrated income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement
· Ability to synthesize large amounts of data and arrive at reasonable conclusions quickly
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Advanced writing and communication abilities
· Real estate or data center industry experience desirable
· Progress toward Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
· Experience with Workday, Salesforce, and Adaptive Insights
· Experience with Argus Enterprise software
· Experience providing financial and analytical support to a capital-intensive business
