Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Investor Relations Director who will design and communicate the company's investment case and value proposition message to the financial community. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the company is appropriately and strategically positioned with analysts, investors, and all stakeholders. Reporting directly to the CFO, this person is responsible for creating the appropriate IR strategy, framework and roadmap for the Company. The incumbent will also be responsible for communicating clear and consistent messaging of Quaker Houghton’s global market position, business strategy and progress to its internal and external stakeholders.
Job Accountabilities:
- Develop and implement a robust investor relations strategy, framework and roadmap for the future.
- Partner with senior leadership and internal stakeholders to align on Quaker Houghton’s strategic and financial objectives. Manage investor relationships and work closely with analysts to assist them with understanding those objectives.
- Analyze and present market activity, financial trends, competitor behavior and shareholder and investment community feedback to the executive leadership team.
- Manage quarterly earnings calls, conferences and investor meetings. Create presentations, press releases, and other communication materials for earnings releases and presentations to analysts, brokers and investors.
- Help develop the company’s Annual Report and review SEC filings.
- Collaborate and partner with internal departments such as finance, accounting, tax, business unit leaders and executive leadership to gather data and support for external communications and strategy.
- Answer analyst and investor questions.
- Develop a targeted communications and road show strategy to build stock ownership.
- Help develop a strategy to increase sell side coverage and improve the visibility of the company to potential investors.
Education, Experience, Skills & Competencies:
Key Education or Certification Required
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting.
- CFA required.
- MBA is highly preferred.
Required Minimum Number of Years of Relevant Experience
- 10 years progressive finance experience required with at least 5 years experience in Investor Relations.
- Related industry experience is preferred.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of corporate finance, valuation methods, and capital markets, as well as the analytical skills required to create financial models and evaluate sell-side model
- Understanding of Quaker Houghton’s financials, structure, end-markets and strategy
- Must be an excellent communicator, including messaging strategy and execution, business presentations, Q&A and business writing
- Excellent Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills required
- Ability to maintain confidential information and strictly adhere to Quaker Houghton’s policies for information disclosure
- Ability to share Quaker Houghton’s story to stakeholders in a simple, effective, and compelling manner
- Must have strong interpersonal and collaboration skills. Must be able to build relationships and trust both internally and externally.
- Ability to set and drive strategies while also tactically implementing them
