General Description:
We are looking for a 2nd Shift Painter/Shipping Lead at our Richmond, VA facility. While painting will only make up 20% of the role, the ideal candidate will be a versatile switch hitter, skilled in multiple areas of the shop. In addition to painting, this position will include overseeing shipping operations, operating overhead cranes, loading/unloading materials, rigging, and performing other key production support tasks.
\n- Perform painting tasks, covering up to 20% of the role.
- Lead and coordinate shipping operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Operate overhead cranes to move materials and assist with production processes.
- Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling and storage.
- Perform rigging duties for equipment and materials as required.
- Read and measure accurately using a tape measure to ensure precision in production.
- Conduct respiratory fit tests and maintain safety standards for handling materials.
- Support other departments by adapting to various tasks within the shop.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with chemicals and equipment.
