Position: Welder
Location: Ashland, VA
Duration: Contract to Hire (90 days)
Shift Schedule: 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Mon-Fri, 10 hours per day, and Saturdays as required)
Pay Rate: $19.00 - $24.00 (Depending on experience)
Benefits/Incentive: Excellent benefit package if hired full time including 401K, ESOP, PTO, Health, Dental, Eye & Life Insurance; Sign on Bonus of $850 after 6 months of employment.
Job Description:
Qualdoc is seeking experienced Flux Core Welders and Welder/Fitters for our client in Ashland, VA. This role will be responsible for welding large capital equipment and components. This position is a contract with the potential to go full-time based on performance and business needs.
\n- Ability to pass a Full Penetration Vertical Weld test as well as a Fillet Overhead weld test.
- Able to read AWS Weld Symbols
- Consistently produce high quality flux cored arc welds that meet or exceed AWS D1.1 & 14.1 standards.
- Able to work safely in a Heavy Industrial environment.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must pass a criminal background check (7-year felony sex offender)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test (10 panels for recreational drugs and opiates)
