What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiver position at Quality Branded?
The newest restaurant from Quality Branded, located near our existing busy concepts, Zou Zou’s and Chez Zou, is seeking a Receiver to join our OPENING team! The primary responsibility of the Receiver is the physical check in and verification of deliveries to the restaurant. The Receiver is also responsible for maintaining organization of the walk-in coolers and storage shelving, including rotating products using FIFO methods. Must also interact with staff members and management in a professional and collaborative manner.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:
- Report by scheduled time
- Receive daily deliveries checking against the order sheets.
- Receive daily deliveries checking invoice quantities against what was physically delivered
- Receive daily deliveries checking quality of product against BOH Receiving SOP
- Flag delivery issues to the HPF or BOH Manager on duty for quality control issues, missing items, returns, credits, etc.
- Signs for deliveries that are issue-free
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the receiving area
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of walk in coolers and storage shelving including rotating product, flagging old inventory, and identifying products that can be used for family meal
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of backstock items such as equipment, plateware and glassware.
- Assist HPF and Chef team for end of month food inventory
- Assist HPF and management team for mid-month Operating Supplies Inventory
- Follow NYC DOHMH guidelines for food storage
- Follow Center for Disease Control sanitation guidelines
- Comply with Quality Branded uniform and hygiene policies
- Perform other duties as directed by management
- Available to work various shifts, including scheduled and on-call, early morning, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- 100% - Walks and stands during entire shift
- Must be able to continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, grasp, and stoop
- Must be able to move, carry and lift 50 pounds with frequency throughout shift
- Able to clearly and accurately communicate with co-workers and management and respond to directions from supervisors
- Excellent time management and organizational skills and be able to multitask
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures according to the Department of Health standards for hygiene and safe food handling.
- Knowledge or sanitation protocols issued by Center for Disease Control
