What are the responsibilities and job description for the Remote Monitoring Tech (not work from home) position at Quality Life Concepts?
This is NOT a remote, work from home position.
Quality Life Concepts has an immediate opening for a Part Time Remote Monitoring Technician. This is a non-exempt hourly position that works out of QLC’s main office in Great Falls, MT on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, Saturday, 8:00pm-6:00am.
- Starting wage is $14.50/hr.
- The primary function of the Remote Monitoring Tech is to provide oversite and supervision to clients with developmental disabilities remotely in their own homes through a live stream monitoring system during identified times of need, typically 8pm-6am.
- The Remote Monitoring Tech is relied upon to ensure the health, safety, and personal needs of clients are being met by monitoring hazards and providing assistance via verbal prompting or dispatching of on-call or emergency services as needed. You might think you are all alone on these shifts, but you are really providing an integral support to the whole agency.

Education and/or Experience:
- High School diploma.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Must be proficient in the use of Remote Monitoring System.
- A Remote Monitoring Tech must have strong written and verbal communication skills using proper grammar, sentences, spelling, punctuation to complete required forms and reports.
- A Remote Monitoring Tech should have working knowledge of developmental disabilities field.
- A Remote Monitoring Tech must be dependable and reliable.
- A Remote Monitoring Tech must demonstrate computer literacy and be able to use all required software.
- A Remote Monitoring Tech must have ability to problem-solve and assist in decision-making, including during emergencies.
- A Remote Monitoring Tech must have the ability to work productively with individuals and other team members to develop relationships.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Ability to accommodate alteration of scheduled hours or days off as necessary.
- Ability to function with minimal supervision and coaching within the responsibilities of the job description
- Ability to sit during scheduled shift. May stand and stretch at your monitor but not leave your monitor.
- Must be able to see in color.
