Inside Sales Assistant

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inside Sales Assistant. The Inside Sales Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting our sales team by handling quoting, creating Purchase Orders (POs), Bills of Materials (BOMs), and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quoting and Pricing: Prepare accurate and timely price quotations based on customer inquiries and specifications.
• Purchase Orders (POs): Process POs from customers and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely fulfillment.
• Bills of Materials (BOMs): Create BOMs based on customer requirements and technical specifications.
• Customer Support: Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Order Processing: Assist in processing sales orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company procedures.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed and organized records of quotes, orders, and customer interactions.
• Technical Knowledge: Utilize knowledge of industrial products to effectively communicate product features, benefits, and technical specifications to customers.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team, engineering, and other departments to meet customer needs and achieve sales goals.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business administration or a related field is a plus.
• Experience: Prior experience in inside sales, purchasing, or a similar role in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with CRM software preferred.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively interact with customers and internal teams.
• Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in quoting, order processing, and documentation.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
