General Summary:
Serves customers by providing information, responding to requests and resolving problems;
Maintains a wide variety of Financial or other Records (Stored both manually and electronically);
Verify statistical Reports for accuracy and completeness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Writes, types, or enters information into computer, using keyboard, to input work requests,
correspondence, or other documents.
Knowledge of English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rule of composition, and grammar.
Compose correspondence, create spreadsheets, and manage databases as needed.
Sorts and files records.
Attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Exceptional customer service and team orientation.
Answers telephone, conveys messages, and runs errands.
Photocopies and scans documents, using photocopier and scanner.
Provides information to customers by verifying understanding of work requests; answering questions; offering assistance, and preparing work requests.
Initiates service by recording requests; forwarding to dispatching.
Accomplishes customer service and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Able to work independently, perform as a self-starter and meet critical deadlines.
Must be able to perform multiple tasks and work well with others.
Security Clearance Requirement:
Ability to obtain DOD Clearance is a requirement
Candidate will be subject to Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to sensitive
material and information
Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements:
Proficient and experienced in the use of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook
Experience using Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) preferred.
Ability to operate a variety of office equipment, including computers, printers, scanners, telephones and fax machines.
Familiar with office procedures and filing.
Strong organizational and general office skills
Competent in spelling, punctuation, grammar, arithmetic and preparing spreadsheets
Working conditions:
Sit for extended periods of time.
Ascend and descend steps.
Push/pull, squat, turn, twist, bend and stoop.
Office working environment subject to sitting at desk for long periods of time, bending, crouching and or kneeling at files, pushing/pulling of
file drawers, reaching in all directions, and prolonged periods of time working at a computer terminal.
This job is mission essential personnel and will be needed to work as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Graduate or GED;
Proficient in relevant Computer applications such as MS Office & Excel; Accurate keyboarding skills (25 WPM);
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing;
